I've managed to exact 650+ textures already.Messed with the Nightfall logo and am ready to start editing sound files...I'm a little hesitant to start tweaking my actual player skin,so for the sake of preservation I backed up my .dat file and created many subdirectories to ensure all my original files are "replacable"...the .dat backup was around 3gigs..I also copied my exe file into the mod folder I'm using,I'm really not sure if this will make any difference what-so-ever...just a little over cautious I guess.

As far as I can tell..and PLEASE correct me if I'm wrong, whatever town you log into the textures will load and are accesible for extracting, meaning if I want Charr skins..I need to be in a "loaded" Charr area,or subsequently if I wanted Mandragor,I need to be in a "loaded" Mandragor area?..I ask this because I can actually extract weapon skins from my characters at the login screen..yet they are not visible...just preloaded?Very interesting,I expect to lose many months of my life messing with this...wheres my coffee of enlightenment?

That's correct. You can also filter out any textures not being drawn using the * key - it comes in very useful when trying to search through 1000+ textures to find the one you want.

I'd pay actual money to get mods like this in guildwars.

Purely for laughs ofc.

Are you by any chance using McAffe? It's known to be a bit overprotective when it comes to Texmod. Scan on my end says it's clean.

No need to backup, Textmod copies the textures and you edit the copied one, thats why you need to start the game with Textmod for the mod to work. It changes NOTHING in your gw.dat.

Yeah I'm having some moderate fun with this.

I was experimenting and put the Venom logo on my Dervishs skirt. That just gave me crazy ideas.

Now I'm looking for a good set of armor for a sin so I can make it look like a Spiderman outfit.

But bloody swords and axes, yeah I'm all for that. Modding is fun.

Only works with Directx 9 and my computer can only run 8. Real shame, I was looking forward to modding -_-"
